Mrs. Caroline B. Pratt Is Called By Death

Provo, March 28—Mrs. Caroline Beebe Pratt, wife of M.L. Pratt, died at her home in the First ward yesterday afternoon from an affection of the heart and dropsy, from which she has suffered for several months.

The deceased was born in Polk City, Iowa, May 10, 1852, and came to Utah with her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Beebe, in 1870, and the same year was married to Mr. Pratt. They lived in Salt Lake for some years, and later moved to Provo, which has been their home for about 25 years. Mrs. Pratt is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. D.H. Thomas, Salt Lake; Mrs. Mable Warner, Driggs, Idaho; Mrs. Olive Anderson, Provo; Irving L. Pratt, American Fork; Parley P. Pratt, Rexburg, Idaho; Lester Pratt, who is in Wyoming, and Karl and Thorsley Pratt, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and the following brothers; David R. Beebe, Horace E. Beebe, and Angus G. Beebe, of this city and Ovando C. Beebe of Salt Lake.

Mrs. Pratt was devoted to the interests of her family and was a woman of superior intelligence. She was prominent in Relief society work and took an earnest interest in public affairs.

Mrs. Pratt’s husband has been ill for some time and is confined to his bed, which makes the loss of his wife an increased affliction.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, pending answer from the children to messages announcing the death of their mother.
