Reunion Information – Summer 2011

The next reunion is planned for the summer of 2011, the 200th anniversary of Orson’s birth. We are looking for volunteers (especially Orson descendants!) who want to help with the planning. If you would like to be involved and help, please contact us.

Parley P. Pratt Memorial

The Association is planning to hold a family gathering to dedicate the new memorial for Parley P. Pratt and his family in the Salt Lake City Cemetery once it is finished. Since the original date in May 2009 was postponed, we will notify the family of the new date! Make sure that your mailing and e-mail addresses are updated to receive the family newsletters.

Pratt Symposium podcast – July 2009

On July 2, Brigham Young University hosted a conference on Parley and Orson Pratt. Eight graduate students presented their research on the life and thought of the Pratts. It was a very interesting and educational experience and we were pleased to have so many in attendance. For those who were not able to attend or those who would like to hear the information again, the presentations are available here.

Perspectives on Parley P. Pratt’s Autobiography – July & August 2009

A popular LDS blog has started a series of blog posts on Parley P. Pratt’s autobiography. During July and August, 10 different authors will post 10 articles focusing on different aspects of the autobiography. This should be an interesting series about one of the most important texts in our family history.

Extra DVD footage from the Pratt Brothers: Builders of Zion DVD

We’ve just made available on the website more than 130 short videos of the extra interview footage that was not used in the production of the DVD. There is lots of great information and numerous extra stories about our Pratt ancestors.
