City and Neighborhood

Frank Eldredge, son of Chief Deputy Eldredge in Sheriff Lewis’s office, and Ray Pratt, both members of the Utah cavalry now at the Presidio San Francisco, were in the Baldwin hotel at San Francisco on the night that it burned.  Both escaped in their night clothes and were uninjured.
