Death of Mrs. Pratt

Mother of President of the Mexican Mission Passes Away in Mexico.

Mrs. Victoria Billingsly Pratt, wife of the late Helaman Pratt, died at Colonia Dublan, Mexico, Sept 13, of typhoid fever, according to a telegram received in this city Wednesday by C.H. Wilcken. The funeral arrangements were not stated, but it is thought the burial will take place at Dublan the last of this week. Mrs. Pratt is survived by two sons and a daughter as follows: Ray Pratt, president of the Mexican mission, now confined at the Groves L.D.S. hospital here in Salt Lake, convalescent after an operation two weeks ago for appendicitis; Leone Pratt and Miss Gladys Pratt, the last named two now at Dublan, who have charge of the funeral.

Mrs. Pratt was born in Provo, Utah, Sept.15, 1851. She moved with her husband and family to Mexico a number of years ago, where her husband recently died. She leaves hundreds of relatives and friends living in various parts of this state who will be grieved to hear of her death.”
