Protest Against A Street.

Parley P. Pratt presented a very lengthy petition protesting against the city’s opening a four-rod street through his property.  He told a sad tale of the City Marshal’s tearing down his fences, letting in stray stock to devour his hay, destroy his stock and do other damage, while a mule from the canyon dragged his sick wife about the place.  Mr. Pratt wanted a street opened elsewhere and called kindly for justice and equity.  Referred to the Committee on Streets, with the City Attorney associated.
