Dear Cora,
Your 2 letters to mamma were duly received and appreciated. We were glad to hear from you and that you were having a good time. I trust you will enjoy the remainder of your vacation hugely. Mamma is not so well as we could wish but still she keeps up quite well and is able to do her work. Olga, Leona and Una were out last night to a show given to benefit a poor man, they had a pleasant time. I understand that there is to be an excursion to the north on the 27th of this present month, and all being well, mamma will come up and visit Sr. Emma for one or two weeks. You will therefore make your calculations to return home in time to release her, so that she may have a chance for a little recreation and rest. Shall leave to-morrow for West Jordan, to canvas. Am a little crowded for time, as I am assisting Stephen Talyor & others to go out on a prospecting tour. I have been able to get a grub stake for them. Please excuse this brief and informal note. We are all well, & trust you and Sr. Emma and all other friends are well. Ever praying to God to bless and protect you and return you in peace and safety, I remain as ever,
Your affectionate Father,
P.P. Pratt
