Funeral Services Will Be Held Thursday for S.L. Man, 82
Completed funeral arrangements for Willard Snow, son of the late Pres. Erastus Snow and Minerva White Snow, were announced today by members of the family.
The services will be held Thursday at 12 noon in the Joseph William Taylor mortuary, 125 North Main Street, with Bishop Gordon T. Hyde, of the Ensign Ward officiating.
Mr. Snow died yesterday afternoon at the family home, 573 Seventh Avenue, following a lingering illness. He was 82.
Born in Salt Lake City, Nov. 16, 1853, Mr. Snow, at the age of seven, went to St. George with his father and a party of Colonizers. He received his early education in St. George and later returned to Salt Lake City, where he attended the University of Deseret. After his graduation he entered the furniture business in Ogden.
In 1878 he was married to Dora Pratt, daughter of Orson Pratt pioneer and Church leader. Following his retirement 30 years ago, Mr. Snow removed to Salt Lake City.
Surviving are his widow, and the following sons and daughters: Sterling J., Gordon, Harvey O., Lawrence E. and Dora Snow, all of Salt Lake City; Dr. Chester Snow, Washington, D.C.; W. Conrad Snow, Hobart, Tasmania; Karl Snow, San Francisco; Mrs. R.K. Wilkinson, Oakland, Calif.; and Mrs. W.J. Vaughan, Los Angeles. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren.

Willard Snow Succumbs to Long Illness
Son of L.D.S. President; South Utah Builder Taken By Death
Willard Snow, 82, a son of the late President Erastus Snow of the L.D.S. church and Minerava White Snow, died Monday afternoon at the family home, 573 Seventh avenue, after a long illness.
Born November 16, 1853, in Salt Lake City, he accompanied his father at the age of seven in a party of colonizers to the St. George region. He spent his boyhood in St. George, then returned to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Deseret. After graduation he was engaged in the furniture business in Ogden for many years. He retired to Salt Lake City about 30 years ago.
He married Dora Pratt, daughter of Orson Pratt, early L.D.S. church leader and pioneer, in 1878. She survives him.
Surviving also are 10 sons and daughters, Sterling J., Gordon, Harvey O., Lawrence E. and Dora snow of Salt Lake City; Dr. Chester Snow of the federal bureau of standards, Washington, D.C.; W. Conrad Snow, metallurgist of Hobart, Tasmania; Karl Snow of San Francisco; Mrs. R.K. Wilkinson of Oakland; Mrs. W.J. Vaughan of Los Angeles, and 19 grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held Thursday. Arrangements will be announced later.
