Rella P. Farrington

Rella P. Farrington, 82, daughter of Orson Pratt, one of the original apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died Sunday afternoon in Portland, Ore., after a lingering illness.

She and her husband, Richard C. Farrington, moved to the Oregon coast about 30 years ago.

Born Jan. 16, 1872, in Salt Lake City, daughter of Orson and Juliaet Pratt, reared here and was married to a Mr. Blalklock.

Couple moved to Canada until his death a few years later.  Mrs. Farrington brought her two sons, Russell and Fred, back to Salt Lake City and on Dec. 31,1901, she was married to Mr. Farrington in Salt Lake City.

Lived here and in Boise, Ida., before moving to Portland; parents of two sons, Richard and Ferndon, both of whom reside in Portland.

Other survivors: One sister, Mrs. Neva Pratt Shiverick, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services and burial will be held Wednesday in Portland.
