Pratt-Taysum
In another column will be found one of those ordinary notices which are casually scanned by the average reader, but which mean so much to the contracting parties and their immediate relatives and friends. The parties in the case are Mr. O.P. Pratt and Miss Lou Taysum, who were married in Logan on Thursday last. The groom is a son of the late Apostle Orson Pratt, is a young man known among his numerous acquaintances as possessing the sterling qualities of manhood so much admired by all—a favorite among his friends and acquaintances, who are proud to own him as such. The bride is a charming, intelligent young lady, who has won the confidence and love of her relatives and friends by her sweet disposition and thoroughly womanly manner, and who has entwined herself in the affections of those who know her best as only one of her nature can do. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Taysum, of this city.
A quiet and informal reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents last evening, at which only a few of the most immediate relatives of the bride and groom were present, but which was none the less a pleasing occasion to those who participated.
Mr. and Mrs. Pratt will leave for their future house in Scipio, Millard County, on Tuesday next. Our best wishes follow them for a life of happiness and peace.
