Pratt Rites To Be Sunday
Well-Known Missionary Worker Succumbs to Long Illness
Funeral services for Milson Ross Pratt, 76, well known among Church members for his extensive missionary work, will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Twenty-second Ward chapel.
Bishop George D. Jorgenson will officiate at the services.
Mr. Pratt died in a local hospital Wednesday evening after a lingering illness. At the time of his death he was a member of the High Priest Quorum of the Twenty-second ward.
Born in Salt Lake City, Nov. 4, 1859, Mr. Pratt was the son of Orson and Marian Ross Pratt. Mr. Pratt commenced his missionary work for the Church at an early age and his labors in this field carried him to India, New Zealand, Mexico and Eastern United States.
In 1888, Mr. Pratt was married to Jemima Kilgour, who died five years after the marriage. He was then married to Mary Tuttle, later being divorced.
Surviving besides his former wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Winward, Ogden, and Mrs. Glen May, of Salt Lake City; a son, Harold K. Pratt, of Los Angeles; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Irintha Douglas, Ogden; Mrs. Ruby P. Beesley, Mrs. Joe U. Eldredge, Mrs. Joseph Kimball, Mrs. Dora Snow, Mrs. Pearl Morgan, Mrs. Neva Sheverick, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Cloe Ivans, Ogden; Mrs. Rella Farrington, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Margaret Armstrong, Miami Beach, Fla.; Ray R. Pratt, San Francisco, Calif.; Valton Pratt and Ortherus Pratt, both of Salt Lake City, and Julius Pratt, of Los Angeles.
Friends may call at the White Chapel mortuary tomorrow evening and at the chapel Monday prior to services. Burial will take place in the City Cemetery.

Milson Ross Pratt
Milson Ross Pratt of 241 West Third North street, died in a local hospital, Wednesday at 6 p.m. following a lingering illness.
Born in Salt Lake City, November 4, 1859, Mr. Pratt was a son of Orson and Marian Ross Pratt. As a youth he was employed by the Z.C.M.I. and later became active in L.D.S. church work. He served several missions for the church, having gone to India when he was 19 years old, later to New Zealand, Mexico, and Washington, D.C. He was married to Miss Jemima Kilgour in 1888, who died five years later, and he subsequently married Mary Tuttle, from whom he was divorced. At the time of his death he was a member of the high priest quorum of the Twenty-second L.D.S. ward.
