Russell—In Salt Lake City, April 20, of pneumonia, Samuel Russell, in the 61st year of his age.

Funeral services will be held in the Fifteenth ward meeting house Wednesday, 22nd inst., at 11 o’clock a.m. Friends respectfully invited.

Elder Samuel Russell died today in the 15th Ward, where he had resided for many years. He was the son of Elder Russell, who figured prominently in the Church in early days in Missouri. Brother Samuel came from that State with his mother and the family to Utah in 1861. he was a member of the 2nd quorum of Seventies, and an honest, truthful and faithful Latter-day Saint. He had been in failing health for some time and died of pneumonia.
