Fredonia, Ariz. Oct. 11—A meeting of the citizens of Fredonia was held Oct. 9 with a government land officer who has come to appraise the Town lots.  The history of the town was told and many hardships which the people have endured in settling this land.  Only four of the first settlers were present: Thomas Dobson, A.W. Brown, Lorum Pratt, Sr., and Thomas P. Jensen, Sr.  These four have withstood all the hardships of a western settlement and are still able to fight for their rights if need be.  It has been over 40 years since these pioneers came here to settle and try to make homes for themselves and families.
